Sharon began her media career as television reporter in Canberra, after receiving a BA Communications degree in Journalism from the University of Canberra, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
Her first break into news presenting came while working as a television reporter in Newcastle in 1995.
Sharon joined Sky News in 1999.
She was involved with Sky's rolling live coverage of the Boxing Day bushfires, the war in Iraq, and was first on air with news of the terrorist attacks in Bali.
McKenzie currently presents Sky News hour and Five Live with Leigh Hatcher, as well as Sky Evening News weekends.
Sharon is also mother to a little boy.
